Ilko Bosman

Ilko Bosman

Ilko Bosman holds a Master’s degree in business information management and a postgraduate degree in IT-auditing. His professional career started in university with starting up his own company. After a career in banking and investment management, he pursued his love for building organisations, and became partner in a start-up company, one of the pioneer companies in 3D printing.

Next to enjoying nature on a bicycle or on foot, Ilko has a passion for building organisations, finding new ways to reach objectives, and turning problems into opportunities. Within Rewilding Europe, he is responsible for developing nature based businesses and supporting these through Rewilding Europe Capital, Europe’s first conservation financing facility.

 

Dr Peter Drobac

Peter is a global health implementer, educator, and researcher. A specialist in infectious diseases and public health, he is the co-founder of the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE), Partners In Health’s ground-breaking new university in Rwanda. As the director of Partners In Health in Rwanda, he helped establish community-based health system incubators that developed care delivery innovations from HIV to cancer—many to national scale.  Peter has an MD from Medical College of Wisconsin and a Master of Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health. He teaches global health and social medicine at Harvard Medical School, and is an associate physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

Geoff McDonald

Geoff’s background in teaching, HR, marketing, communications, and sustainability is considerable. He spent 25 years with Unilever where he played a central role in transforming Unilever’s business model with purpose at its core.  Geoff consults to organisations, helping them embed purpose as a driver of growth and profitability. He too consults on how to address the stigma linked to depression and anxiety in the workplace, with a particular emphasis on raising awareness and providing practical strategies to address this growing modern illness. Geoff has worked with David Cameron and CEOs to agree actions to break stigma in the corporate world, as well as the Royal Foundation to support in their mental health campaign within the corporate sector.  Geoff is married with two girls and has completed a number of ultra-cycling and swimming events.

Laura Grassi

Laura Grassi is an environmental scientist who has worked mostly in South America on soil protection, agroecology, and environmental impact assessments.

Her encounter with Source International in 2015 shifted Laura’s attention and passion towards voiceless communities affected by mining activities. A great part of her work consists of the collection of evidences of environmental, social, and health extractive impacts on local communities. Laura also manages campaigns to raise public awareness on our unsustainable and unjust consumptions – school projects, European partnerships, and local events – addressed to the final consumers of those products that contain metals derived from extraction activities in remote locations.

Solomon is the founder of The Student View (TSV). Frustrated by the absence of a platform for young people to be heard, Solomon created an online publication where his students and the students of his friends on the Teach First programme could share their world through words. This project became The Student View, an education charity which delivers journalism training to hundreds of secondary school children across London. TSV’s mission is to create a newsroom in every school. The programme is co-delivered by leading journalists from over 20 UK media organisations. Solomon studied history at the University of Cambridge and was trained as a journalist by Goldsmiths College.

Mila is an investment director for Bridges’ Social Sector Funds, focusing on Social Impact Bond investments, and specialising in children’s services and healthcare.

Mila previously worked as a management consultant with Accenture, focusing on transformational change management, organisational design and strategy, and process improvement work. Mila also spent four years working on a crowdsourcing not-for-profit focused on funding scholarships for young leaders in developing world countries to participate in some of the world’s most forward-thinking education programs.

Mila is a trustee for the Bridges Impact Foundation. Mila holds a First Class Honours Bachelor of Science degree from Simon Fraser University in Canada and a Masters of Business Administration from INSEAD.
